John Deere 955 Engine
The engine of the 955 JD is a diesel engine manufactured by a Japanese company, Yanmar. As mentioned above, it has a 33hp, 3 cylinder engine with, roughly, a 23HP draw bar and a PTO of 27. The engine hold 2.4 qts. of coolant, and has a 6.6 gallon fuel tank.
John Deere 955 Hydraulic System- The JD 955 tractor has an open hydraulic system with a 4 ½ gallon capacity, with a 7.2 gallon valve flow.
John Deere 955 Transmission- Has a four wheel drive transmission that does a good job keeping wheel traction for all of its heavy loads. It also has a hydrostatic transmission with forward and reverse adjustment capablilites unlimited.
The 955 is equipped with a 3-point hitch with a rear lifting weight limit of 956 pounds. The 3 point hitch is a common size that allows for options of different types of attachments to be added to the tractor so that you get all you can from your Deere. There are many attachments for snowblower attachments, cultivating, discs, and many others that are available to easily attach to the 3-pt. hitch.
The PTO of the 955 provides power to your attachments. It has a live rear PTO of 64 inches that comes equipped to do a multitude of jobs.
