Lilies are a beautiful flowers and come in many types. Check out some of the beauties in Asiatic, Oriental, Orienpet, and species lilies. This was originally a list and description of some of the varieties that the GCA was selling. Even after the event, I want to publicize these beautiful varieties that will continue to adorn your yard and garden beautifully.
‘Annemarie’s Dream’ has up facing blooms that are fully doubled and spotless. They are a creamy white that has a bit of yellow. It is one of the newest Kiss lilies, which are double Asiatic lilies that produces no pollen. The flowers have no fragrance. This beauty reaches up to 4 ft. Tall.
‘Linda’ is a golden yellow near the center and turning bright orange at the ends. It grows 2 to 3’ tall and blooms in June.
‘Cocktail Twins’ has huge, double bright red flowers with the outer petals sometimes swirled with gold. This lily grows 3-4 feet and also blooms in June.
‘Patricia’s Pride’ has up-facing flowers that are creamy white with burgundy colored brushstrokes on the center of each petal. It grows 2-3 feet tall.
‘Forever Susan’( ‘Starlette) is an Asiatic lily variety that has large mahogany and orange flowers that face outward. They have lots of buds that are produced to create a tremendous display which starts in early summer. This variety grow to 2 feet tall.
‘Red Velvet’ has deep red flowers that bloom from June to September. It grows up to 4 feet. This variety was chosen as the best Asiatic at the North American Lily Society national show in Pennsylvania.
'Brazilia' has white petals with dainty tiny spots and are edged in rosy pink. As the weather turns colder, its petals are flushed with more of a pink color. It blooms in late July to early August and grows 3-4 feet tall.
'Casa Blanca' is an Oriental hybrid with pure white flowers with contrasting reddish-brown anthers. It blooms in midsummer on rigid stems rising 3-4 feet tall. It also has very fragrant flowers.
'Anastasia' is an Orienpet that has beautiful, huge white flowers with rose pink centers. it grows 4 to 6 feet tall and blooms in early to mid-August. It will capture you with its wonderful cinnamon scent.
'Robert Swanson' has 6 1/2" flowers that have bronze-tinged red centers and a deep yellow edges. it grows up to 4 ft. and has a light fragrance.
Lilium leichtlinii is a native of Japan, and has stems that grow to 4 ft. high. It has yellow flowers that are dotted and flushed with purple and bloom in late summer.
Lilium speciosum rubrum is a species lily that is known widely for its fragrance and its late summer blooms. it is white and crimson with recurved and pendulous petals. The flowers reach to six inches across, and grows normally to about 5 ft. tall.
